Do you remember
that one September
we went apple picking?
Our hair in braids
Green apples and delicious
autumn air.

Do you remember running out of the house
into downpouring rain in July
Our feet were bare,
our spirits soaring and free.

But now there’s winter
between us.
Our hearts like flowers
under a suprise snow.

Here are some snapshots from our fun at Lake Chelan. It was a bittersweet time, knowing that Eric had to go back to Iraq soon. (Sorry it’s been 2 weeks since my last blog! Now that I’m done posting lots of pics, I’ll be more motivated to blog b/c it won’t be as challenging each time :) )

Ready to ride the helicopter
Eric and I were so excited to take a helicopter ride up in the mountains in Skagway!
Helicopter
Here’s our ride.
Gorgeous Alaska view
View from the helicopter. Most of our pics from the helicopter don’t do it justice. It was breathtaking!
The dog camp
Here’s the dog camp on top of the snow pack on a glacier.
Some of our dog team
Cute dogs just wanted some love :)
Our lead dog, Piper

I'm really here doing this!

Dog-sledding

We're off!

Snuggling puppies
We had fun snuggling the puppies. The one I held fell asleep in my arms after about a minute.
The happy couple

We love Alaska
This last pic is from Tracy Arm. I didn’t put it in the last post but I should have. We had a blast! Next stop…Lake Chelan :)
